My Thoughts on the LSU game

So, there was a little football game yesterday, as most of you know. LSU’s rematch with Alabama. LSU lost for a number of reasons that I don’t care to go into. I’m not an LSU fan so it doesn’t pain me that they lost. Just for the record I’m not one of those people who are glad LSU lost. I just watched the game.

A lot of people are disappointed because Les Miles made a lot of mistakes. He continued to make the same mistakes over and over again and seemed to expect something else to happen (the definition of insanity according to Einstein). A lot of people are mad about this, it’s nothing new for fans to be mad at a coach after a loss.

It made me think, though. We’ve all screwed up. We all continue to make the same mistakes repeatedly, whether we want to admit it or not. The only difference between our daily screw-ups and Miles’ loss last night is that his was broadcast across the entire nation. I’ve screwed up and let people down and so have all those people who are mad at Les. We need to remember the fact that he only had one loss, which is a pretty good season in my opinion. He is still a pretty good coach.
