Hey guys. I’m trying to get in the habit of just sitting down and writing at least once a day or every other day. So, if that doesn’t excite you I don’t know what will! haha
Had work today. I got there, helped out a little in the kitchen, then got on the mower and cut grass for six hours, it was awesome! I don’t know about you, but I love to cut grass. I get to just sit on a very slow-moving vehicle and just think. “About what?”, most people ask. Well, everything, life, God, politics, stupid people, everything! Today my main point of thought was Mary’s amazing faith! I mean, she had so much to lose and all she said was, “I am the Lord’s servant. May it be to me as you have said.” (Luke 1:38). Now, this thought was inspired by the third sermon of Mark Driscoll‘s series on Luke. They’re really good!
So, apparently I like to sleep late when I’m in my R.E.M. (rapid eye movement, incase you didn’t know) cycle. I had to be at work by 8:00 so I set my alarm for 6:00 so I would have time to do my quiet time. At 7:00 Dad came in and woke me up. I was really surprised that my alarm didn’t go off at 6:00. I assuming I was sleeping so deep I don’t remember turning my alarm off or I turned it off in my sleep. Either one is fun. ha
I was cutting grass today, as I mentioned above, and a little fawn ran past me. I didn’t even know where it came from. It still had spots, hence the title ‘I saw Bambi today‘. I saw the mom looking for it a few hours later, hope she found him or her.
We had our fourth of July party yesterday!
It was fun! Soooo much food, not sure if that’s a good or bad thing. No fireworks but I did get in some Bocce ball time! It’s so much fun, and I’m not sure why. I would tell you how to play but we don’t even really know. We just kind of played in a way that was universally accepted at the party. I beat almost everyone, except my uncle and………my mom :/, haven’t fully recovered from that yet. haha We got to see some fireworks on the way home which was cool. Like I said in my last post, I like fireworks.
Well, I’m getting tired…thanks for reading
